To all of you who attended the 2008 Southern Delta Region Show-off and Texas Inter-Regional meet, thank you for coming!  Some of you traveled many hundreds of miles to attend, and we appreciate your making such an effort to attend.  We even hosted Philip and Norma Eilenberg, who were visiting in the area from New Zealand and joined us for the afternoon.

 

To Dave Jampole, thank you for putting together such an enjoyable weekend for all of us.  Some of the highlights were our reception on the lawn of Brant House, the personal quarters of the Eighth Air Force Commander, to the Show-off at the Eighth Air Force Museum, to the Awards Banquet at the Officers’ Club, everything was planned and executed to perfection.  Our accommodations and meals were outstanding, too!

To those of you who were unable to attend, you missed a great weekend.  It will be hard to match this event in the future.  Cars in attendance ranged from a 1936 Bentley 4 1/4 Litre to a 2004 Bentley Continental R.  One of our newest members, Chuck Lacoste, took home the Southern Delta Region “Best of Show” trophy for his 1997 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III.
